When you create a to-do from an email, the email is removed from your inbox in Handle and in Gmail, and can always be found under the "Handle" label that the app creates in your Gmail and in Handle. To find them, go to Email > down-arrow > select account > scroll down to find the labels.  "Read Later" works in the same way. If a to-do with an email is completed, the email receives the "Completed" label.   All emails are always recoverable via Gmail search, unless you manually delete them.  In Gmail, any email from which you create a to-do is starred, and the star goes away when it's completed. You assign priority to emails by creating to-do's from them rather than using stars, flags or labels, the meanings of which can get complicated or forgotten.
